Clear operating conditions for GMRIDE scooter rentals in Barcelona.
Pre-launch operating policy. Final enforceable terms will be the rental agreement accepted at booking and must remain aligned with the insurer and payment provider.
Security deposit
A €300 security deposit is planned as a card pre-authorization, not an additional rental charge. For standard card authorizations, GMRIDE will request the deposit only close to pickup (normally within the 6 days before pickup), rather than blocking the amount when a booking is made far in advance. It is released after the return inspection when no amount is due; the card issuer may take additional time to restore the available balance.
Damage and theft excess
Damage excess: €300. Theft, fire or robbery excess: €1500. These limits apply only where the insurance and rental agreement provide cover.
Cancellation
More than 48 hours before pickup: 100% refund. Between 24 and 48 hours: 50% refund. Less than 24 hours or no-show: no refund.
Operational charges
Lost helmet: up to €70. Lost or damaged keys: up to €500. Roadside assistance caused by customer fault: up to €500. Fine administration: €30 plus the fine. Missing fuel: fuel cost plus a €20 service fee.
Late return
Up to the first hour: €15. Beyond the first hour, additional rental charges may apply under the final rental agreement.
Insurance and exclusions
Coverage does not override insurer exclusions. Fraud, intentional damage, prohibited use, gross negligence, driving under the influence, unauthorized drivers or failure to follow theft/reporting requirements may remove or reduce contractual liability limits, subject to the final policy and applicable law.
